Oh my goodness. It's been like exactly one year (+ 2 days) I've not blogged on Falisha's blog. I feel so sorry for myself (and Falisha) F. From where I last blogged about her, Falisha has grown from a lil' bb going on toddlerhood and right now she's in the 'official toddlers club'. How time flies, my lil' baby has grown. I so wish she can stay in this state and always be my baby.

Alot of things had happened during this last one year. Because of Falisha, I've somehow acquired a new hobby: Photography. Simply lurvin it and will need to practice, practice & practice. There's a whole lot more to learn, but I will try my best to make the best out of it. Being an 'aspiring' photographer Mama, I guess from now on, this blog will be alot more like a photoblog. Hahaha. More posts to come, I promise.

Now that I've been a temp SAHM for a couple of weeks, the least i can do is to cook for my lil' one. Normally it will be my maid who cooks her food when i'm away to work. Now that I'm at home, of course I'll be the one who handles Falisha's food! hehe...other ppl cook and Mummy's cooking (with love) is different loh... I've always lurved cooking, but due to some reasons, I've got to go to my mum's house every single day just to send resumes and check emails to look for jobs. Sighs. So I will cook for Falisha then leave the house in the early afternoon then be back home early evening.

Anyways, back to the cooking topic, I think this is one of Falisha's favourite porridge version. heh.

Last month I brought Falisha to my good fren Rosie's place for a quick swim. How nice the weather was! hehe...most importantly, it was Falisha's 1st time using her mushroom and caterpillar float. Hahaa...this was Falisha's 1st outdoor swim last month. She was pretty scared and yet she wants to play with the water. Freaked out a lil' when we let her sit down at the poolside. Recently, I discovered Falisha has this new talent. When i 'scolded' her not to do certain things like licking her hands, the sides of her cot, eating the TV remotes etc, she will show me a face like action wanna cry, and her eyes started squinting and look very pitiful. Hahaa...it's was hilarious and entertaining! I had a gooood laugh on that man. Haha...she can act! haha...reminds me of the McDonald's Baby as we call it :)

Falisha has turned 7months over the weekend! So fast...let's see her 'added' milestone now.

She is able to:
- Sit on her own
- Crawl on the bed
- Crawl on the normal hard-tiled floor
- Eat bread (lots of it)
- Eat Mac's ice cream (haha)
- Make noise like 'mm, mm, mm' when she wants more ice cream
- Eat semi-solids like potato/avocado puree & cereal of course
- Eat 2 meals of semi-solids per day now
- Drink around 150-180ml of formula milk per feed
- Laugh out loud
- Attempt to scratch her ear
- Throw things (her toys) on her floor
- Hold out her hands when she wants me to carry her

On the morning of this year's CNY eve, the day we're supposed to go for reunion dinner, my Hubby woke up @ 8am suddenly (waking me up as well) asking me if i wanna go for a walk at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Early in the morning 8am leh! Goodness…I din have a proper sleep the night before – thanks to Falisha’s new sleeping pattern of ‘eh eh eh’ every 2hrs thru-out the night. I woke up a zombie. I said to Hubs,”Huh…but I haven’t got enough sleep leh…*yawn*

Guess what? He replied,”Aiya, you can sleep late tmr and the day after tmr mah (Just because Mon & Tue is CNY Day 1 & 2)!” Huh…*me yawned again*.

Hubs immediately called his friends and ‘jio’ them out. One friend who was still single (but attached la) was damn excited while the other fella (married with 2 kids) sounded like he was still sleeping while talking to him. Haha…

So the arrangement was that we meet up at West Coast Park’s McDonald’s to have breakfast 1st (Duno why there), then head down to our ‘walk’. But after ding-donging here and there, we only reached Bukit Timah Nature Reserve at ard 11am. Hah.

Falisha has added a new set of skill to her current ones - sticking out her (unexpectedly) long tongue. I didn't know until I caught her doing this new stunt! Very long indeed. I think she enjoys it very much. When I saw hi to her, she will stick out her tongue. When i play with her, she will stick out her tongue. When i talk to her, she will stick out her tongue. Same manner somemore! Hmm. Dunch know why. Hahaha...and i seriously have no idea where she learnt that from.

Last weekend we brought Falisha out, and she fell asleep quickly in the car shortly after we got on. So i have abit of time to makeup - only when she's asleep. She just turned 3months old and I'm gonna go back to work tomorrow. It will be a whole new experience again - now that i have a baby waiting for me to fetch at Nanny's place. Last Saturday Fi and I brought our little Princess for her 1st swim at Hwa Xia (Harbourfront). Boy, she did enjoy herself! Heheh...

OMG! Falisha knows how to turn herself leh! I was sOOOooo shocked!

3 days ago, Falisha was lying on her tummy in her own cot and i was watching her. Then she turned on her own slowly then become lying on her back. Amazing!!! How she managed to do it siah? Yesterday oso once when she was lying between me and Fi, as we were chit-chatting, and she turned! Ahahaha..then he believed me. How can ah?? Fi's niece only turned when she was 6mths old (and that's like the normal age to know how to do this mah), how can Falisha perform this stunt so quickly? Goodness!

On a Sunny last Sunday, we decided to bring Falisha to visit my Ah Ma (Paternal) @ the old folks home( Ah Ma damn gan zheong liao haha) - it's abt time. We wanted to wait till she reaches at least a month old then bring her out - immune system not so strong yet mah. LOL.

Falisha was a real sleepy head! Piangs...the moment we stepped outta our house, she was real fast asleep.

OMG. Falisha is sleeping soOOOooo peacefully. When she's sleeping, I can do my stuff. It's my free time(supposingly!). My schedule's like this in the daytime:

Morning (To standby anytime she wakes up)
- Wake Falisha up
- Check whether poopoo or not
- Warm up Breastmilk
- Getting the bath ready for her Royal Highness
- Bath time
- Milk time
- Sleep time
- Pump milk

Afternoon (To standby anytime she wakes up)
- Exercise (She might wake up anytime)
- Do the laundry (She might wake up anytime)
- Fold clothes (She might wake up anytime)
- Shower (She might wake up anytime)
- Pump milk again (She might wake up anytime)
- Cook (sometimes) (She might wake up anytime)
- Check mail (maybe only) (She might wake up anytime)

Can u imagine? 24 hrs is soOoo not enuf for me! Goodness...everytime my little princess wakes up, i have to drop whatever i'm doing halfway then attend to her 1st. Hahahaa...it's a '50-50' situation!

Last Sun brought Falisha to my Mum's place, despite the 31 July 08 being 2 days away from her full month. Since it's a weekend and a nice timing, Mum told me to bring her darlin grand daughter to her house - like a chinese custom thingy. Hahaha...so it was like a mini gathering where my own Ah Ma and a couple of Aunty and Uncle came by. It was fun! My Mum was so excited, i would say she took care of Falisha all the way ever since we reached her house! Gagaga...cannot blame her la hor, excited mah. Heheh...And Falisha was such a guai guai dearie, she was awake for the longest time! And my family and relatives kept snapping pictures of her, they looked like the Paparazzi la! Muahaha... And that surprised me too...hehe...like as if she knows she's at a different and everyone's there to see her, so she must be awake to 'entertain' the guests. Gagaga...

Falisha has got this weird habit - to cover her face during feed sometimes. I couldn't resist so took a snapshot of her NEW pose again. Erm..i seriously did not pose her this way - she did it herself! Ahahaa...see for yourself. Or maybe she just wanna have some time to herself - sorry babe, you'll be stuck with Mummy for a while hor. Ok fine. Yes. I'm so cushioned, BB Falisha will always fall asleep lying on me. Haha...it's been a really tiring 10 days after her arrival, but all is worth it. Everytime i look at her small little cute face, it just melts my heart. Falisha is slowly getting used to the surroundings, and we are oso slowly getting used to her routines. Haha.

Falisha is full of expressions. She lurves to smile, even when she's sleeping. haha. But I caught this interesting one, cos i think she's wondering why her Mummy is busy snapping pix of her and laughing to herself. LOL. BTW as u can see, my hubby's grandma 'lines' Falisha with eyeliner ard her eyes and eyebrows. The cross-looking symbol between her brows apparently wards off evil. LOL. Yes i know. Very traditional. And all the eye-lining is the 'secret remedy' to super dark eyelines and lashes and brows! Duno how true it is. LOL. Hubby and I were just debating who Falisha looks like more. I must agree that compare from birth till now, her eyelids are much thicker. But yes, for now she looks more like an Indian BB to me. Bleahhh

FALISHA'S BIRTH STORY - 2 August 2008
2 Aug 2008, Sat - 6am
Went to pee as usual at 6am. Was shocked to see some discharge. Knew it could be the 'show', heard from a friend that she got something similar to that, so i smsed to check if hers was like that.

2 Aug 2008, Sat - 6:48am
Felt very mild contractions like menses cramp. Instinct told me to monitor for an hr or so then see how(anyways clinic will only be open at 9am). The mild contractions were consistent on the average of 2-5mins. Become stronger by the hr.

2 Aug 2008, Sat - 9:10am
Called gynae's clinic and checked with the nurse. Said she'll call my gynae and check with him the next step. 5mins later, she called back and said Doc told me to admit straight to Eastshore. I was like, whoa so fast! LOL.

2 Aug 2008, Sat - 10.15am
Reached Eastshore and did admission procedures. Was in Labour ward by 10.30am. Midwife (i think) put me on the drip to make contractions come faster as instructed by gynae.

2 Aug 2008, Sat - 12:30pm
While waiting for my gynae, i heard next labour ward got woman whining and screaming. Goodness! Then Gynae arrived. Came to check - i was only 3cm dilated. He din warn me - and burst my water! Not the bursting painful, but the cervix check painful! LOL.

2 Aug 2008, Sat - 4pm
Started using the laughing gas, but din work for me leh. Very intense contractions started coming in. Hubby was very encouraging, told me to 'breathe in, out, in out'. Haha. But it was PAINFUL!!! Seriously! But i tahan n so no Epi for me. Nurse came to check and told me not to tahan anymore, ask if i wanna use jab on my right thigh n i agreed. Gynae came to check again n i was abt 8cm dilated. 2cm more to go!

2 Aug 2008, Sat - 5+pm
Super contractions came in - PAIN!!! Whoa...cannot tahan siah! Every min was like torturing! Nurse said can push liao, so push and push and push. Duno how many pushes - i lost count! It was such excruciating pain, i almost gave up! Like i was wondering how can i EVER push bb out?? I was also wondering when the hell Doc will SNIP me. Hahah. 2 Nurses, n my hubby was there. One of them was assisting to push bb out from my tummy - i couldn't care less anyways. Gynae finally came and started his work. Told me to try harder. I think i lost too much energy trying the initial pushes. Then, i heard gynae said," I think her BB need some help. I was wondering, vacuum? Forceps? No way! So one FINAL PUSH, my Baby Princess Falisha is out at 1737hrs! LOL. What surprised me was that, she's only 2.73kg at 48cm. Imagine less than 3kg aredy so hard to push, whatmore bigger bbies? Hahah...Straightaway i tot...Mums are the greatest! I am a proud Mummy who went Al-Natural! hehe...

Baby Falisha is very clever - i kept telling her that my Gynae was gonna go on leave on the 3 Aug 2008 onwards, and she chose to pop on the day before - and got him to deliver at last! Heehee...kept telling her that if she wants him to deliver her, she can choose whenever she wants to pop!
